Nichol Old Vines Syrah

This is the oldest syrah in Canada, planted in 1990/91 on granite bedrock at the end of the Naramata Bench. Elegant and finessed as ever, with rivers of black cherry, black plum, wild raspberry, black pepper, and dried violets, seasoned with scrubby Okanagan desert herbs. This savoury, understated, and confident red lingers with mineral salts. Canadian classic, drinking beautifully now, but will continue to age gracefully.
