Fitzpatrick Sudden Inversion Meritage

The grapes harvested from Maverick Vineyards in the South Okanagan form a delightful blend of 60% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc, and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. Each variety undergoes separate fermentation in stainless steel and is later aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, with 10% new oak and 90% neutral oak. The resulting wine is rich and satisfying on the palate, offering luscious notes of cassis, blackberry, and mint, embraced by ample, chewy, and thick tannins that lead to a comforting and warming finish. This generous and ripe, sweet-fruited red wine pairs exceptionally well with rustic dishes.
