Ledaig 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch
Ledaig is made by the Tobermory distillery which has been producing Scotch since 1798. This bottle is a great introduction to the world of peated Scotch. It is not as heavily peated as many of the big peaty monsters from Islay which makes it more approachable. The peat in this whisky has a pleasant woody smokiness. The smokiness is rounded out with toffee, nuts and finishes with some pepper and baking spice . This is a rich and full bodied single malt, perfect for someone who likes things a little on the peaty side.
