One of the reasons for Woodford Reserve’s distinctive deep rich flavour is it’s heavily charred oak barrels. For this bottling the classic Woodford Reserve bourbon is finished in a second set of new oak barrels for an extra 9 months. This process adds considerably more flavour than you might expect to a bourbon that is already pretty good.
